About Us
A pack where the whole family belongs
Cub Scout Pack 3 is a fun, active, family-centered pack right here in Winchester, Virginia. Our motto says it best: one pack, one family, endless adventures. We believe Scouting is at its best when parents, siblings, and scouts all get to share in the fun, so most of what we do is open to the whole family.
What we do
Our calendar stays full all year long. A typical season might include:
- Family campouts, where you can come out for the day or pitch a tent and spend the night under the stars
- Pack meetings with a twist, like our Scout-O-Ween Trunk-or-Treat
- Council events that bring together Cub Scout families from across the region
- Den meetings and adventures where scouts learn new skills, earn their badges, and make friends who stick around for years
- Service and fundraising, including our popcorn sale, where scouts can earn enough to cover their own dues
Who we are
Pack 3 is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade, grouped into dens by grade:
- Lions (kindergarten)
- Tigers (1st grade)
- Wolves (2nd grade)
- Bears (3rd grade)
- Webelos (4th grade)
- Arrow of Light (5th grade)
Every den is led by volunteer parents, and our pack is run by a committee of families just like yours. There is always room for another helping hand, whether that is leading an activity, hosting a trunk, or simply showing up and cheering on the scouts.
Why families love Pack 3
Kids come for the campfires, the pinewood cars, and the s'mores. They stay because they build confidence, try new things, and learn what it means to help others. Parents stay because Pack 3 becomes a community: a place to meet other Winchester families and watch your kids grow up together.
